Dream Exchange is a holiday-themed fic exchange focused on the seven members of NCT Dream: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Donghyuck, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. We are currently running
a Halloween 2021 round!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each writer gives three prompts, and receives three prompts. The admins pair up writers, and each writer picks a prompt from the three to write. At the end of the exchange, the fics are posted on AO3! In fic exchanges, everyone writes and receives a fic!

Dream Exchange runs on UTC -11, or Pago Pago time! All deadlines end at 11:59PM on the day listed.
Q: What are pinch hitters?
A: Pinch hitters fill in for writers that are no longer participating, making it possible for everyone to get a gift in time even with drop outs. Pinch hitters will be contacted immediately after the first check in should any drop outs occur. It is possible for a pinch hitter to be called in earlier, if we have drop outs early on.
Q: Will writers and betas be paired together by the admins?
A: Betas won’t be assigned to writers by the admins. A list of people willing to beta for this event will be released, and writers can contact them through their social media.
Q: Does this exchange have a check in?
A: There is going to be only one check in for this exchange, with a minimum word count of 500 words. Instructions for the check in will be published a few weeks before the check in.
Q: How do I submit my fic?
A: The fics will be submitted to our collection. Submission instructions will be published a few weeks before submissions open.

Here are our guidelines!
Please read them carefully before signing up to participate in Dream Exchange.
Violation of any of these rules can result in the offender being blacklisted from future rounds of Dream Exchange.
Works need to be a minimum of 1,500 words.
Writers will submit three prompts. It is up to the assigned writer which one they choose to write from the three.
Anything you do not want to see (ie. content that could be triggering if included in your gift fic) should be included in the prompt.
Prompts do NOT need to be holiday themed.
Prompts must focus on one or more members of NCT Dream.
Writers cannot disclose who they are assigned to write for and/or their prompt until posting is over.
Every writer is expected to write at least one prompt. Feel free to write more than one if you are feeling especially generous. No check in or minimum word count will be required after the first fic.
If you apply, please be committed. We try to avoid drop-outs as much as possible.
Do not ghost the admins. Communication is key for making the exchange run smoothly.
